IT'S ALL ABOUT A LOVE FOR THE MUSIC AND THE PEOPLE THAT SUPPORT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "It's been a long time since I started getting involved in music. I played in a few bands first then decided to do my own thing and bought decks." A freestyle DJ by default. 'Praise' @ The Lava Lounge was the first legit freestyle night in Derry so the punters packed the gigs (and the dancefloor!). During this period from the late 90's-2001 Duffy was lucky enough to have rocked crowds alongside an eclectic mix of heavyweight musicians and DJ's. After a move to The Nerve Centre the likes of Afrika Bambaataa, Maseo (De La Soul), Groove Armada, Ian Brown, Andy Smith (Portishead) and Cash Money all joined forces. Between 2001-2004 Paul moved to Belfast to study design and 'Praise' decided to do 'one offs' instead. Belfast's clubs were next on the hit list. Slots in the ledgendary Art College followed as well as late nights in the infamous (illegal) Brunswick and the Crescent Art's centre. Back in Derry he was lucky enough to warm up for super-producer RJD2 as well as Drum 'n Bass legends LTJ Bukem And MC Conrad. In recent years Duffy has become a regular guest at eclectic night 'Bounce' @ Sandinos and that's just what they do! Every gig becomes an event in one way or another. During this time he was cultivating a production style and finding his feet as a musician with a sampler. Years of diggin' and playing with talented people have shaped his sound. "In reality it's all about ideas and working with the right people to make them happen"----------
