The Bees
The Bees started out as the duo of Paul Butler and Aaron Fletcher, both from the Isle of Wight. They recorded their debut album, ‘Sunshine Hit Me’ in a home studio in a shed in Butler's parents' garden. The album was released by We Love You, and got them nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2002. Now a sextet, their second album ‘Free The Bees’ was released in 2004. Their sun-drenched classic pop infleuces were also present in 2007's 'Octopus' LP.
