US R&B singer, actor and dancer Ashanti debuted in 2002 with the single, ‘Baby’, followed by the chart-topping single ‘Foolish’ and the self-titled debut full-length the same year. She quickly became a chart and popular culture sensation, with her duet with Ja Rule, ‘Always On Time’ reaching number one, and several of her other releases achieved commercial success and extensive radio-play.
