Cat Power
Cat Power is the moniker of South-states bred singer/songwriter Chan Marshall. She has previously gigged as the opening act for Liz Phair, where she met Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley and Two Dollar Guitar’s Tim Foljahn. They agreed to become her backing band, and in 1995, the Cat Power debut album was released. The acclaimed 1996 album ‘What Would The Community Think?’ gained praise for its unsettling and emotional songs.
