My name is Marcus I am a turntablist and a vocalist but I don’t pretend like its some sort of science. I make hiphop orientated music. I have done some cool shit. I have done some crazy-fuckin-stupid shit. I have got a job as a graphic designer. I grew up listening to Elvis Presley and Billy Fury. Not by choice. When I was a kid I listened to rap because it had swearing in. THEN I doscovered the diversity in its musical backdrops and it intrigued me. De La Soul taught me that hiphop didn’t have to be aggressive or one dimentional. My other inlfuences are Pete Rock, Baka Boys, Beatminerz, 3rd Bass, Beatnuts, House of Pain, Everlast, G-Love and Special Sauce, Funkdoobiest, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Abdominal and Dj Fase, The Creators, The Nextmen, Cypress Hill, Casual, Big L, Dj Shadow, Dj Format, The Pharcyde, The Wiseguys, Dynamo Productions, Krafty Kuts, A-Skills . . . blues, pop, rock, hip hop, punk, metal, folk, skiffle, jonny bag . . whatever . . ...I guess the list could go on. Rage Against the Machine grabbed me by the nuts. As did Sugar Ray’s first album ''Lemonade and Brownies''. My other favourite bands are: Snot and Deftones. ( I could list more ) I never get bored of listening to ‘Yellow Leadbetter’ by Pearl Jam. I buy records and cd's like its crack or something. I have a bit of a pop-punk addiction. I love sugary melodies and sweet harmonies. But thats not why I’m diabetic. I'm diabetic because I used to drink and eat too much. I quit the shite and lost three stone. I’m quite proud that I’ve got my shit in check. I'm quite proud of the records I've released and that Jon Peel played one. I'm proud of my Dad for quitting smoking. I like djing. I like djing when people like when I’m djing. I like Adidas Shelltoes and old school Nike Air. I like Baseball caps. I like Black t-shirts. I like my Tattoos. I dont like coffee. I love my girlfriend, family and my friends.
