Generation X
Having enjoyed a moderate degree of success in the punk rock era, Generation X became better known as the launch pad for singer Billy Idol. In 1978, Generation X were one of the first punk rock bands to appear on the music show ‘Top of the Pops’, and their debut album ‘Gimme Some Truth’ even featured a cover of a John Lennon song.
