Dexter Gordon
The top tenor saxophonist of the bop era and an accomplished jammer, Dexter Gordon’s sax battles with Wardell Gray and Teddy Edwards were legendary. Moving to Europe in 1962, he recorded some of the finest work of his career and his return to the US in 1976 was applauded by legions of fans. One of the many highlights of his carer came when he was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in the film ‘’Round Midnight’.
