Clancy
'All we need is grace and grime and joy and filth and romance...' Clancy make quirky folk-pop in an Aladin’s cave on the third floor of an extinct industrial laundry. Their songs are about relationships on the edge, and sex, and hope and the sweet-ugly mess of it all. Flame-haired singer/actress Sharon Clancy is from Wexford Ireland, where she did stacks of gigging and was also a DJ on local radio and teenage national kick-boxing champion! Junk percussionist and singer Katie Stephenson of 'Bang On!' has joined Clancy on drums and vocals for their debut gig. STOP PRESS: The fabulous Nikki Link has been recruited on keyboards, and goes out live with Clancy form October 24th. Ex Synth-punks Pete and Stu produce and design and play guitars and keyboards. Songwriter and novelist Chris plays guitars and eggs. Eclectic is electric.
