K-OS
K-OS – aka Kheaven Brereton – has a number of strings to his musical bow, being an accomplished singer and producer as well as a skilful rapper. The 2002 debut album from the Canada-based MC - ‘Exit’ - combined traditional hip-hop influences with unusually lush instrumentation as well as acoustic guitar, piano and dub/reggae overtones. The record scooped the International Album of the Year prize at the Source awards in 2003.
