Mud
Between 1974 and 1976, Mud reigned as one of the hottest rock & roll bands in Britain. Spurred on by singer Les Gray’s Elvis Presley-like vocals and a series of covers, including Chuck Berry’s ‘Bye Bye Johnny’ and Buddy Holly’s ‘Oh Boy!’, Mud’s unwillingness to take themselves too seriously only added to their popularity, making them icons of the glam rock era.
