Steve Pilgrim is so talented it makes you sick. Having entered the music business drumming with The Stands before going freelance, he recently won the very coveted gig as Paul Weller's regular on the riser. It is, however, as a singer songwriter delivering blanket warm acoustic ballads that Pilgrim has launched his solo career, and launched it to great acclaim too. After all, you don't secure a much sought-after slot on The Word magazine's covermount CD while still unsigned if you're a bit rubbish, do you? Expect to hear a lot more from this young man, a lot, lot more.
