The Undertones
Punk pop band The Undertones formed in Derry, Northern Ireland in 1976. Their ‘Teenage Kicks’ EP was released on Belfast record shop owner Terry Hooley’s label in September 1978, and soon became a radio hit, as well as earning a support with The Clash on their American tour. The song ‘Teenage Kicks’ was declared by John Peel to be his favourite ever.
