Functional Breaks was formed in October 1999 as part of Future Underground Nation (FUN), a promotion and production collaborative based in Exter (UK).Functional has been responsible for thirty three 12” a number of which have appeared on compilations by the likes of Dave Seaman, Ashley Casselle and The Stanton Warriors. The label has both UK and internationally based artists, such as Beatz & Botz, Ben & Lex. Also Further from home, Italian Breakbeat pioneers Dj Rocca & 5th Suite. On top of an already strong rooster, the label has the forthcoming release from the Dreadzone. The latest produced CD is The Beatz & Bobz mix series inspired by club night of the same name. This and other compilations such as Distinctive’s Y4K , should push the label further into the future.
