Groove Collection Red
It’s interesting being around for so long already in dance music. Ever since the summer of Love, dance has been developing into new genres and sub genres. Both Jerry and myself have been part of the dance scene for many years, we’ve both witnessed many new styles and has seen many of them go as well. Music is always under construction, always moving and always unpredictable, at least good music is, the kind that doesn’t explore what has been explored already. Groove collection Red is all about leftfield, maybe some will think it’s crap, others will find what they’ve been looking for and there will be people who simply won’t have an opinion. Most releases will be worked around interesting vocals, sometimes not the easiest at first glance but maybe sometimes you just have to give it a try and let these tunes find their way into your system, listen more carefully instead of going for the obvious route. The first releases are finished, GCR001 has been out, Muzikjuni feat Ace with their “ Dem Try”, an infectious reggae/rap combined with the twisted beats of Muzikjunki, all accompanied with solid remixes by Quinten de Rosario and Boris Ross who both hail from Rotterdam just like Muzikjunki. He’s also involded in the second outing from the label, Break Me Shake Me. Other releases signed are Nils noa feat dave Sinister and DEEF, and oldskool house song with some amazing remixes. Just keep tuned to Groove Collection’s Red Label, sounds like a perfect Scottish Single Malt and maybe it could well be the case…
