Rough Trade
Ground-breaking indie label which was founded by Geoff Travis at the tail-end of punk. It went on to be THE indie label of the '80s alongside Factory, Mute and Cherry Red having success most notably with The Smiths. The label is still a hotbed of new and established talent. It's roster has in fact dominated the music scene of late and received wide spread critical acclaim for artists such as Antony & The Johnsons, Arcade Fire, The Libertines, Dr Dog, Sufjan Stevens, The Delays and The Strokes amongst many others.
